Often the selection of materials will play an important role in the overall sanitation requirements of any food packaging machines. In most cases, stainless steel is the most used material for food packaging applications. Other substitute materials, such as anodized aluminum, are sometimes used by manufacturers to save money. However this could lead to problems down the road, particularly if strong chemicals are repeatedly used to clean those machines.
